Para-Aramid Filament Roving

After heating at a high temperature of 260 ℃ for 1000 hours, the fracture strength can still maintain 65%, and after heating at 304 ℃ for 1000 hours, the strength can maintain 64%. It is difficult to ignite in flames, has self extinguishing properties, good aging resistance, and can withstand most organic solvents, but has poor resistance to ultraviolet radiation. Mainly used for work clothes in flammable and explosive environments, as well as space suits and firefighting suits. It can also be used as industrial filter material and filler, and paper made from this fiber is widely used as electrical insulation material.

Product description

The filament is para-aramid fiber made of PPTA polymer. The filament is yellow, low-density and high-strength. Its strength-to-weight ratio is 6 times higher than steel, therefore para-aramid fiber is widely used in tyre, optical cable, ballistics, high-speed rail and aerospace field. The filament also has low flammability and excellent thermal stability, enabling its mechanical strength decay within 20% under 200°C, which is important in heat protection, friction and sealing fields.
